Tempura and Boston PRIDE 2010

I visited Boston for a change. It has been so long. Boston is not really far from where I live, approximately 90 minutes away, but being a poor graduate student, I haven’t visited the city unless any particular reason comes up, to save money on gas, tollgate and parking fees. Well, however, a PRIDE event makes it a difference.

It was super fun but the weather was really bad. It rained cats and dogs. I got completely soaked and wet. Well, on a rainy day, Koreans love eating certain foods–fried pancakes, oden, ramen, tempura, etc. I haven’t made deep-fried battered veggies, so I thought I would give it a try. I also made some tempura sauce with soy sauce, bonito flakes, sugar, sake, and water. It turned out really great. Toppoki would have made a great company to the meal.
